Tesla Takes Flight Over Swimming Pool
The unique top-hinged Falcon Doors on the Tesla Model X, though not granting the electric crossover the power of flight, gained attention when one owner experienced a harrowing incident.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported. The 70-year-old driver lost control, colliding with objects and soaring over a pool into a house in San Mateo, California.
The occupants of the house were absent, and the driver, along with her 40-year-old daughter in the car, escaped without injuries.
The crash caused substantial damage, leading to speculation about the Tesla's speed and the crash's cause.
Witnesses observed erratic acceleration, but investigations are ongoing to determine the precise sequence of events. The impact was so intense that local residents initially thought an earthquake had occurred.
