For 2024, BMW enhances the Z4 M40i, offering a six-speed manual transmission, a love letter to enthusiasts.
Paired with a 3.0L twin-turbo inline-six engine, it delivers 328 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Beyond the manual gearbox, the Z4 receives a staggered wheel setup, recalibrated steering, stiffer front anti-roll bars, and improved adaptive dampers.
The interior upgrades surpass the Supra, with larger displays and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Driving the manual Z4 feels familiar to BMW enthusiasts, offering a precise and engaging experience. The chassis changes make it more special, promising an exhilarating ride. While the manual-averse can opt for the eight-speed automatic, the unique chassis improvements are exclusive to the manual variant.
The 2024 BMW Z4 M40i brings newfound excitement to a previously underappreciated sports car.
Production starts in Q1 2024, with pricing yet to be announced. This move aims to boost Z4 sales, competing with the successful Supra, emphasizing BMW's commitment to driving enthusiasts.
