Before embarking on this unorthodox journey, some necessary repairs are in order. Welding a damaged oil pan and inspecting the valve cover for potential internal damage become crucial preparations.


Once the stage is set, the 1.6-liter engine is filled with used cooking oil straight from a deep fryer. Surprisingly, the engine's initial roar isn't as dreadful as expected, given its history of enduring harsh conditions. However, as the unconventional oil circulates, peculiar and somewhat alarming gulping sounds emanate from the engine.
